New plant pep talk: we aren't going to die now are we?! And when you need water you tell me, right? Oh, those little furry things running around really like you, but can't hurt you up here. You are safe, you are loved. ⁣

We have a gorgeous greenhouse in town, @mulhalls, that I would frequent more often if it weren't for my brown thumb and evil fur children. ⁣

However, I did find this pink @wallygro hanging planter yesterday that has built in drainage👌🏻They have more wall planters in fun colors that are made out of recycled materials too! ⁣

Ok, after bedroom/bath count this was # 1. Why? Great Insta pics. LOL JKJKJK.⁣

You can change a LOT about a house, but you can't change what direction it faces and how much light it gets. Natural light soaking up a room is a mood lifter. Your plants will thrive. You will use less electricity on lights. Cats love it. Oh and it's great for pictures 😜⁣

If you are living in a darker home, here are a few things to try: ⁣
⁣
1. Paint your walls white. Seriously. All of them. Add color through your wall decor. ⁣
2. Put up white/ivory/natural or light colored sheer curtains. ⁣
3. Add plants! They naturally brighten a place and there are options if you don't get much light. ZZ plants are great. Try hanging them on shelves/from the wall if you have pets like us. ⁣

1. Buy a CLOTHING RACK or dedicate a spot in your closet. ⁣
⁣
2. Go through your clothes and take out what you CURRENTLY LOVE, is IN SEASON and PAIRS WELL TOGETHER. You can keep everything else, just leave it in your closet.⁣
⁣
3. Hang these items together on your rack so you only have 10-15 (or less) tops and a few bottoms/jackets/dresses to look through when putting together an outfit. ⁣

If your clothing rack is all joggers, leggings, tees, and sweatshirts even better 👌🏻⁣

It's crazy how much easier it is for me to VISUALIZE AN OUTFIT when I have it organized like this! ⁣

Out of camera view was a bed unmade, stuff that I throw in our dresser shoved aside, cat hair dust bunnies on our floor (that shit's impossible). Let's not even go into my appearance taking this 💀💀 (that's how gen z laughs) ⁣

Literally no one's home is perfect at all times unless they don't live there. So don't feel bad seeing the perfect pics on your feed. They are just there to bring joy and inspiration (hopefully). ⁣

When we walking into our home for the very first time I can't say I loved the kitchen. But, I've seen enough HGTV to know what we could accomplish! (No we didn't tear out any walls)⁣

Grey paint, cherry cabinets, cherry/dark laminate. Overall the space felt dark and tight. But your girl SAW IT. I saw the natural light and POTENTIAL. That's all you need!⁣

The first thing we did was remove the upper cabinets on one side, which IMMEDIATELY opened and brightened the space!⁣
